Did you know… Installation Logs are Required?

In the official On Board Mass System Functional and Technical Specification (the TCA spec for OBM systems) the installation, calibration, operation, and maintenance of type-approved OBM systems must be documented.

• Specifically, clause A.36 of the spec requires the “Applicant” (i.e. the OBM system supplier / installer) to provide documentation covering the installation, calibration, operation and maintenance of the OBM system.
• That documentation must be sufficient so that it meets the requirements of the Specification.
• The documentation must include an “Installation Record / Installation Log” (or equivalent) at the time of setup. This is highlighted in supplier-level guidelines for OBM systems
