Fluctuation or Erratic Readings

Electronic Height Control Valves can sometimes cause unstable or erratic scale readings.

To stabilise the reading, try lowering the suspension and then re-inflating it back to the normal ride height. Use the same process when calibrating the scales for consistency and accuracy.

Fluctuating Weight Readings

Fluctuations can occur ir height control values are worn and no longer return to a consistent position.

Inspect the system for air leaks and check for work or loose linkages that may affect value performance.

Dump Test Procedure

To troubleshoot fluctuation issues, perform a dump test as follows:

  1. Use an airbag dump valve to release air from the suspension system.
  2. As the airbag pressure decreases, the scale readings should drop accordingly.
  3. Once fully deflated, re-inflate the airbags to the original ride height.
  4. The scale readings should return to their initial values.
  5. This process helps verify that the system is responding accurately to changes in air pressure.

Troubleshoot

NA

Gauge disconnected or out of range.

Ensure trailer gauges are powered and correctly connected to the current combination. If the app or in-cab display is  displaying a gauge that's no longer part of the set-up rescan to updated the configuration.

ER1

Invalid Gauge Calibration

Verify the calibration settings and recalibrate the gauge if necessary.

ER2

Gauge mass out of range

The high calibration point has been set at a lower air pressure than the low point. Recalibrate the gauge to correct this error.

ER3

Possible tampering detected

The measured mass is over 5% below the calibrated tare weight, which may indicated:

  • Incorrect air supply
  • Leaking height control valve or airline
  • Blocked or restricted suspension lines (eg overtightened cable ties)
  • Incorrect calibration or a lifted axle group
