Trucking Australia 2026

Connecting, Learning and Shaping the Future of Transport

The Airtec team recently attended Trucking Australia 2026 on beautiful Hamilton Island, joining more than 250 transport industry professionals from across the country for one of Australia's premier road transport conferences.

Bringing together fleet operators, suppliers, technology providers, industry leaders and key decision-makers, the event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen industry relationships, increase brand awareness and gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Australian road transport.

A Pulse Check on the Industry

One of the key themes throughout the conference was understanding the current state of the industry and what lies ahead.

Delegates received updates through a range of keynote presentations, including findings from the 2026 State of the Industry Survey, which provided valuable insight into the issues currently impacting transport operators across Australia.

Discussions highlighted the importance of innovation, productivity, workforce development and regulatory reform as businesses continue to navigate an increasingly complex operating environment.

For Airtec, these sessions provided valuable context around the evolving needs of transport operators and reinforced the growing importance of technologies that improve compliance, efficiency and safety.

Tackling the Industry's Biggest Challenges

A standout feature of Trucking Australia 2026 was the interactive discussion sessions, which encouraged delegates to actively contribute to conversations around some of the industry's most pressing issues.

Topics included:

  • Workforce shortages and attracting the next generation of transport professionals
  • Regulatory reform and industry advocacy
  • Fuel security and supply challenges
  • Road user charging frameworks
  • Improving safety outcomes across the freight sector
  • Increasing productivity while maintaining compliance

These discussions highlighted the collaborative nature of the transport industry and the willingness of businesses, associations and government stakeholders to work together towards practical solutions.

As technology continues to play an increasingly important role in fleet operations, conversations around data, compliance monitoring and operational efficiency were particularly relevant to Airtec's ongoing commitment to supporting the industry through innovative solutions.

Building Relationships Across the Industry

While the conference sessions provided valuable learning opportunities, the networking events were equally important.

Throughout the event, delegates had the chance to connect in a more relaxed environment during a range of social functions, including:

  • Penske Welcome Event
  • Kenworth Legends BBQ
  • Foundation Sponsors Gala Awards Dinner

This years Kenworth Legends winner was MGM Bulk, a family run business doing wonderful work in Pilbara WA. Legends indeed, and totally deserving of the title! Check out the full video below.

These events created valuable opportunities to reconnect with existing customers and industry partners while building new relationships with operators, suppliers and stakeholders from across the transport sector.

For the Airtec team, these conversations remain one of the most valuable aspects of industry events, providing direct insight into the challenges businesses face and the solutions they are seeking to improve their operations.
